Take
three days
is a proven approach that gives parents the confidence to return
to work, education and training.
It
is run in Children's Centres,
extended schools and community venues with high quality crèche provision; all places parents find
encouraging, and where young children get the benefit of high
quality childcare often for the first time. This helps
Centres and Schools fulfill their commitment to supporting families from workless
households.
Our
skilled facilitators create a motivating and inspiring three-day
programme. We collaborate with local Children's Information Services,
Jobcentre Plus, Employers and Training Providers to help parents
implement their individual action plan. Specialist support is
available for lone parents, including advice on the New Deal for
Lone Parents (NDLP) and soon the Flexible New Deal.
Funding comes from a range of sources including Jobcentre Plus, Regeneration programmes, Local Authorities, and Children's Centres themselves. And we can help you put together a funding package.
We can also train your staff to deliver the programme, and advise you on how to make your own support programmes work better for parents.
