Children's centres From Autumn 2010, Parents on benefits will need to be available for work once their youngest child is seven, and Parents on benefits who have children aged 3-6 will need to be undertaking work-related activity. Children's Centres that embrace a role of supporting parents back to work will find Take three days helps them do two important things: firstly, we deliver the support that parents need to make the transition towards work; and secondly, we act as a catalyst to build a broad and effective local partnership. We know that Stay and Play co-ordinators, Family Support workers and Community engagement teams are all important in supporting parents.
